Condoms (external & internal)

The main points
  • Condoms are barrier methods of contraception that work by preventing ejaculate (cum) from the penis entering the vagina or anus.
  • The two types available are external condom and internal condom.
  • Both condom types can prevent both pregnancy and sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
  • Find your perfect fit for condoms

External Condom

The external condom is a thin pouch that is usually made of latex (rubber) and also available in polyurethane (plastic) or polyisoprene (synthetic rubber). You put it on an erect (stiff) penis or sex toy before it enters the vagina, mouth or anus during sex.

Internal Condom

The internal condom is a soft pouch made of nitrile (synthetic rubber), that has two flexible rings at each end. It is inserted into the vagina or anus before having sex.
