Course Overview

This information session is for parents and carers of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). SHV expert disability and community educators will provide guidance on supporting sexuality or gender expression. Please contact us for suitable dates to deliver either in person or online.

Learning Intentions

Participants will:

• explore the emergence of sexuality in someone with ASD and factors that may affect this
• explore why talking about sexuality with an individual with ASD is important
• examine the impact of ASD in relation to
• relationships
• sexual and gender diversity
• pornography
• consent
• explore how to answer questions and respond to behaviour

Enrolling in this course will provide an opportunity to ask questions of our experienced disability educator.

Entry Requirements/Eligibility 

This education session is designed for parents and carers who support people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Duration

In-person sessions run for 1.5 hours.

Cost

$120 (GST does not apply)

Certificate upon completion.
