This online learning activity will give you the knowledge and resources to enable you to discuss contraceptive methods confidently and accurately with young people to empower them to be able to make positive decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.

Content Includes

  • An overview of reproductive systems.
  • Considerations of who might use contraception and why.
  • Available methods of contraception in Australia.
  • Emergency contraception.

Entry Requirements / Eligibility

This module is intended for Victorian based professionals working in the youth and community sector who support young people outside of the mainstream secondary school settings or at-risk young people aged 12-25. This may include, but is not limited to, young people who: are in out-of-home-care settings; attend alternative education settings; are affected by homelessness; are affected by substance use; identify as LGBTIQA+
