Learning Intentions

  • Explore the emergence of sexuality in someone with autism and factors that may affect this.
  • Identify supporting legislation in relation to sexuality and autism.
  • Explore why talking about sexuality with individuals with autism is important.
  • Develop strategies to support the sexuality of individuals with autism.
  • Examine how autism might impact: relationships, sexual and gender diversity, pornography, public and private, consent.
  • Identify how to answer questions and respond to behaviour.

Workshop details

This is a fully online, self-paced module, developed by SHV expert disability educators. Participants will have access to the module for six (6) months.
