Sexual Health Services for Young People

In this session parents and carers will learn about how to support their young person to get help around their sexual health.

Time: 4pm AEST

Audience: Parents and carers of young people in secondary school.

Learning Intentions:

• Specify what young people would need to access sexual health services
• Identify reasons why young people might need sexual health services such as STI testing, contraception or abortion.
• Discuss how to empower young people to look after their sexual health. 

The topics in this summer webinar series have been identified as areas of interest for parents and carers. These webinars may be of particular interest for families with young people transitioning to secondary school. Adults who want to be sure that their young people understand their own bodies and their rights will benefit from these sessions. Topics include reproductive anatomy, menstruation, sexual content online, sexual health, consent and avenues for support. Be ready for all the tricky conversations and make sure your young person has all the information they need to navigate the complex world of Relationships and Sexuality.
