Consultation and Speaking

Sexual Health Victoria (SHV) can work with schools and communities to upskill professionals and share our expertise.

Consultation:

SHV recommends a whole school approach to Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE). This is a student-centred approach which means that young people will have access to information about their bodies, rights and responsibilities from the beginning of their school experience to the end. Whole school approach also recognised the importance of involving parents, carers and community members in the process.

Schools may want assistance in curriculum review to incorporate RSE into their learning sequence.

SHV provide an example Scope and Sequence for topics included in RSE. Consultation can also help with mapping activities and concepts across your school and integrating specialised training for delivery.

SHV can also advise on links to Child Safe Standards and Resilience Rights and Respectful Relationships.

Speaking Engagements:

SHV can provide experienced RSE Educators to work with a range of projects including panel discussions around consent education and RSE.
