Traffic Lights® is a globally recognised program and framework for professionals to recognise sexual behaviours in children and young people. The program provides professionals with a framework that is age and developmentally appropriate, positive, and protective. Traffic Lights® uses the categories of green, orange and red to help adults identify, understand, and respond to children and young people’s sexual behaviours, to support healthy sexual development and can help protect children and young people from harm or abuse.
Traffic Lights® can be used by a wide variety of professionals including schools, early childhood education and care centres, health professionals, social workers, and psychologists.

Sexual Health Victoria educators facilitate a full day of training, helping professionals to understand and apply the Traffic Lights® framework in their professional settings. Participants will develop skills to support healthy sexual development in children and young people while also addressing harmful sexual behaviours.
All Traffic Lights® participants will receive a Traffic Lights® work booklet to use during the course and as a reference in their work with children and young people. All course materials provided.
Traffic Lights® was developed by expert Relationships and Sexuality Educators at TRUE Queensland.
